The first movie of Reijo Mäki’s crime detective Jussi Vares was a big success in Finland, so it was easy to start making the second one. V2 brings Jussi Vares (Veijonen) to Pori, a small Finnish city. His old friend Jakke Tienvieri (Björkman) has been accused of a murder. A young prostitute (Kokko) is dead and mr. Tienvieri is the last person, who spoke with her. It’s not easy to investigate this case, because the whole city seems to be quite crazy. Mr. Vares meets a whole bunch of transvestites, whores and criminals before he finds anything important.

V2 is mostly pretty boring to follow. It’s full of meaningless violence, characters without realistic background and situations leading to nowhere. Juha Veijonen and young Lotta Lindroos are the only actors in this film, who have some good material to perform and they show it. But mostly this flick is just waste of your time, so don’t bother to view it if you’re not a great fan of nonsense action comedies.

TRIVIA: Director Aleksi Mäkelä has a cameo role as taxi driver in this movie.
