26 years has past when Pepi, who is now a wealthy lady, calls to her old good friend Erik. He is very wealthy too and just like Pepi, he has married somebody else. Pepi loves still Erik but she won't say who she really is. He misses Pepi and wants to find out who and where she is etc. Pretty simple plot.
Both Ms. Ikonen and Mr. Rinne gives fine performances. In some scenes they may seem too old but it doesn't matter very much since the film is quite well done otherwise. The oldish split screen effect is nicely used here to make the phone calls between the main couple a little more "colourful". This Kassila's film has aged as beautifully as Ansa Ikonen in it.
