A quite typical love story. A woman is going to marry a man, whose mother doesn't like her. Then, suddenly, this woman's old love comes back after many years and she has to decide who she will marry.

Nicely shot country landscapes but not much else. There's also sequels (...Ja Helena soittaa [1951], Näkemiin Helena [1955] and Pää pystyyn Helena [1957] which all based on - more or less - Aino Räsänen's books. She wrote 12 Helena novels).

TRIVIA: the script for the movie was written by its director and Ilmari Unho, who worked for another company and that's why he wrote under nickname.
