It's a nice and warm summer day, everybody are going to spend their weekend dancing and having fun in an island. Usko drinks too much and deciedes to stay longer. Just when he thought that he would be alone there, he'll see a beautiful young woman. It's going to be a blue (positive meaning, happy) week for him and her. At first it's only fun but the woman is married with an old man, so can it last forever?
Although the dialogue is once again old fashioned, this time it doesn't really matter much. The cast is all fine, especially Toivo Mäkelä as the old man. Another good thing in this movie: the music. It's lively and very well made. Also the shots are beautiful, almost dreamy. No wonder that this film won awards.
