A real B movie, or even worse... This movie is about smugglers, who worked during late 1919 to early 1932 in Finland and dealed mainly alcohol. Somebody gets killed, somebody losts the goods, somebody else gets killed... Finally the whole movie gets so messy that if you're still watching it then, you don't care about any of its characters.

It's hard to believe that the actors of this film could do better work. Actually, they can, they have proved it on the stage many times. So the problem is in the script and directing. There you have bookish dialogue, too much of babbling, unimportant scenes... Luckily Ms. Mäkinen hasn't made new movies since this.
