Little Ilona is a poor girl who loses her mother in the war. She and her lambkin has to survive alone in the big world.

A pathetic story but this is actually a children's movie, so what can you expect?

TRIVIA: The filming of this movie started as early as 1941. Maire Suvanto (Pipsa from the Suomisen perhe movie serie) was cast as Ilona but later all plans changed because the war started in Finland.
TRIVIA#2: This was director Jorma Nortimo's last movie. He died in 1958.
