William Markus

Actor, director

A son of British mother and Finnish father. Mr. Markus started his movie career as actor in 1944. Before this he worked in a totally different job. The first movie that he directed was called Taikayö (1954). His most remarkable work is a movie called Miriam (1957) which script he also wrote with Pentti Unho. Mr. Markus made movies which often were considered too "scary" for the time's audience.
