Mikko Niskanen

Director, professor, actor

Niskanen was one of the Finnish new wave directors. In the beginning Mr. Niskanen was a stage actor. He studied movies in Russia between 1958-60. His greatest films are a story of young adults 'Skin, skin' (Käpy selän alla, 1966) and 'Eight Deadly Shots' (Kahdeksan surmanluotia, 1972). The last one of these two was based on the true story and Mr. Niskanen also starred in it.
