A son of actress Saara and actor Helge Ranin. Matti Ranin has been in about 40 movies during his acting career. He's played usually comical characters, stumbling heroes. Nowadays Mr. Ranin's dark hair is turned into white and he also different kind of roles (like the doctor Karvala in tv serie Ihmeidentekijät). His deep and warm voice is well-known from many ads and animated series.

Mr. Ranin's son, Matti Olavi Ranin, is also an actor.
