Markku Pölönen

AKA Markku Tapio Pölönen

Finland (1957 -)

Director

During his army years Mr. Pölönen was a dog trainer. In 1990's he directed commercials. This man is also called as "the saveour of the Finnish cinema". This is because he was the man, whose movie Kivenpyörittäjän kylä (1995) showed to the Finnish audience that the Finnish cinema wasn't complete rubbish. Mr. Pölönen has his very own style to tell his stories. Many of them take place on the country side.
