Ms. Rastimo graduated from Taideteollinen korkeakoulu in 1988 (movie studies). Her first fictional movie was Lauran huone (also in 1988). It won the Risto Jarva award. Ms. Rastimo makes movies that have very rich sound world and a special way to view their issues. Shortly: she's an auteur.
