A daughter of professor (litterature) Eino Krohn and ex-wife of actor Esko Salminen (their son Kristo [b. 1970] is also an actor as is Ms. Krohn's daughter Sanna Fransman [b. 1960] too). .

This sweet and natural lady has proved her talent in comedies but is also capable to play tragical roles. After her golden movie years, she has been acting for example in Helsingin työväenteatteri (1977-1995). One of Ms. Krohn's biggest roles on screen was Silja in Silja - nuorena nukkunut.
