A remake. A strory about an young couple. There's a simple guy and his pretty wife, who falls in love with an evil man and runs away from her lovely and peaceful home to bad city and life. Tragical.

The casting is well made, but the movie itself is a bit slow. This film is silent.

This is third version of the same story. Other versions were directed by T.J. Särkkä (1956, with Eino Kaipainen as Juha, the movie is in color) and Nyrki Tapiovaara.
