The first part of this film looks funny although it must have not been the intention. But it gets better. If you forget its old dialogue, it looks alike a master piece. Åke Lindman is more than good in the leading role.
1918 tells a story of priest who is loosing his faith. He ends up to a prison camp where the life is hard and his mission there is to save souls.
TRIVIA: Ilmari Unho wanted it be a secret that he was written the script with T.J. Särkkä. That's because Mr. Unho was working for antother movie company (Suomi-Filmi).
